(More customer reviews)I loved this shampoo. Like loved on a soulmate level. Epic love that they write operas about. And then they changed the formulation. I was lucky enough to pick some up at Target that was the old formulation. It will last me for a bit, but after that I'll have to abandon the love of my life for a different shampoo. "Why", you ask? Because Burt's Bees has decided that phenoxyethanol is a necessary ingredient in this wonderful shampoo. Phenoxyethanol has been banned from cosmetics in Japan and even the EPA has expressed concern about the toxicity of this chemical on the nervous system. I don't expect Clorox, nee Burt's Bees, will care that I am abandoning it, but I hope that they do take notice that the average American consumer is standing up for her rights and standing up against toxic chemicals in her cosmetics. Beauty doesn't have to be dangerous.
