(More customer reviews)I've used this product based on my hairdresser's recommendation for the past 2 years or so. It's only 4 ounces but you don't need much -- about half of what one might be tempted to use. It doesn't have much of a scent and it doesn't create a huge amount of lather but it rinses out easily. It really helps keep my red hair from fading to brown. It doesn't dry my hair but it doesn't make my hair smell nice so I sometimes add about half again as much of a gentle herbal shampoo (one that does smell nice). The package states the product is "not animal tested."
