I lighten my hair myself. It's a low lift process (I use La Bella Light'ning gel) to about a level 7 or 8. But since I'm doing it myself, it's a sloppy process and halfway down the hair shaft things have been looking much lighter. Usually chamomile spray can help, but I thought I'd try this.
So I put this product on just the really light ends and voila - lovely golden color that blends into the rest of my color. Please note - I leave it on for 30 minutes instead of 5 (which the directions specify). My experience with demis and semis is that these temp colors never stick in the time manufacturers allow. But that's just my hair.
I should add - it does a *fabulous* job with conditioning. Or rather, filling the cuticle like most semis. I have very dry, curly, frizzy hair and usually need conditioner, detangler, leave-in conditioner, and anti-frizz products after shampooing. So, I usually add a lot of things and my hair is still tough to comb after shampooing. And then along the way (for approximately 7 days) I add in moisture cream because my hair dries out even more before the next shampoo.
Now with this product. Not only do I not need these other products, but combing through right after shampooing is a breeze - much easier than when I add all the other junk in. I highly recommend it.
