(More customer reviews)This shampoo smells great and cleans great, as long as you don't use silicone/sulfate products on your hair (which is a BIG no no, it drys your hair out).
It doesn't "lather" which is fine with me I don't want to strip the moisture from my scalp. It is concentrated so the $4.50 price tag goes a LOONG way. The only reason I gave it 4 stars vs 5 is that I was expecting it to be a lot thicker, especially since it suggests dilution.
The biggest drawback I didn't include in my rating because math isn't my strong suit is the actual dilution of the product. Pints, quarts, and gallons are still used in the US (annoying!!!) making the mixing of a 473ml bottle of shampoo with 1 gallon of water going into a 1 liter empty bottle a desperate situation. If the US would switch to the metric system it would be a LOT easier. The label doesn't help; specifying to mix 16 oz (weight) with one gallon (liquid) water.
I'm done ranting. I've left my findings here in case you want to use a 1 liter bottle for this shampoo.
ml oz litergallon
3,790mL133oz 3.79L1G (amount of water needed for 473 ml of shampoo)
1,000mL33.8oz1L .26G (empty bottle i want to use)
473mL16oz0.473.12G (queen helene shampoo bottle)
Therefore 120 mL (about half a cup!) is needed of shampoo, then I fill the rest of my liter bottle up with water and vola! shampoo!
