(More customer reviews)I have "princess" hair out of necessity more than out of choice. My hair is so curly that it is necessary for me to keep my hair booty length to avoid lion syndrome. Most products I have tried have left my hair dull and feeling brittle. I am of mixed race so I gave "ethnic" hair lotions a try for a while but I couldn't stand the smell and most of the time my hair ended up looking unwashed. I gave this lotion a try due to a $3 off coupon and I could not be happier with the results. One bottle lasted me three months. THREE MONTHS. With princess, booty length hair people. Here's what I do: I only wash my hair at night, never in the day. I work about a quarter sized amount of the lotion through my hair with my fingers. You want the majority of the lotion spread over the body and ends of your hair. After this I bend over and flip my hair. I scrunch my hair for about 30 seconds, then flip to the left and scrunch, flip to the right and scrunch, and finish up with one more scrunch to the front. My hair takes about 8 hours to dry naturally so it makes sense for me to do this before bed. I sleep on a silk pillowcase and when I wake up in the morning I am ready to go with the most epically gorgeous loosely curled, perfectly defined hair you've ever seen. And it stays that way (so long as no one touches it!!!) for up to three days without washing and resetting. I've never had the crunchy head problem and I think part of the reason is that I let me hair dry naturally at night and I only use the amount that is necessary for my hair. I know some people have reported being dissatisfied with this lotion but I think they probably just need to experiment and play around with different styling techniques. I love it. I live in Louisiana and I have had Zooey Deschanel hair minus the bangs since I started using this lotion. Shiny, soft, and perfect!
