(More customer reviews)I have fairly long, thick, wavy hair that I color. If left to its own devices, it's dry and frizzy. Like another reviewer, I had good results using Sweet Almond Oil - used in a 1-to-4 ratio with a leave-in conditioner as carrier - but when my stylist raved about this stuff, I figured I'd give it a try. I need a considerable amount of the Moroccan Oil to yield similar results, at a vastly higher cost. Even if you're sold on the Moroccan Oil, it's essentially Argan Oil, also available here on Amazon for less money (and from online merchants who specialize in botanicals for even less). I've also recently starting using Tamanu Oil with the leave-in conditioner as a carrier and have had excellent results. Plus, in addition to being so great for my hair, the Tamanu Oil can be used for a variety of skin issues. The Tamanu doesn't smell as nice (in my opinion - it's nutty), but I mix up 1-2 oz. batches at a time and add a few drops of patchouli essential oil to the mix which definitely helps. Bottom line... you can get fantastic results from much cheaper alternatives.
