(More customer reviews)I bought this shampoo bar to help with a dandruff issue that I was dealing with (Dry Colorado winters. Go figure). I had read that tea tree oil was good for controlling dandruff, so I decided to give this product a shot. Well, the first thing I noticed was that it lathers up great. So far so good.
The next thing I noticed was that it completely stripped my hair of any and all natural oils, so much so that my hair felt "sticky" and squeaked. I thought, "Hey, this stuff must really work. It's getting my hair nice and clean." Boy, was I wrong.
The last thing I noticed before I quit using this shampoo altogether was that the flakes (which used to be small) were now freaking huge and increased in intensity (Picture a raging blizzard). My scalp itched so bad I ended up causing it to bleed.
I immediately stopped using this product and switched to Head & Shoulders 2-in-1 Dandruff Shampoo, Dry Scalp Care, 23.7-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2). Within a couple of uses my scalp was back to normal, and I haven't had any problems since.
Take it from me folks, all natural doesn't always mean good for you. There's something to be said for modern chemistry.
I most definitely do not recommend J.R. Liggett's shampoos.
