I have very light, thin hair and this is a very heavy conditioner, but it didn't weight my hair down like some other products and it did make my hair feel soft. The reason I'm giving it 1 star is because soon after I started using it, my back and face broke out. I kept using it because I spent money on it and wanted to use it up, but finally got disgusted with my skin so stopped. My face and back are still recovering (I read somewhere it takes 6 weeks before something like this clears up.) The drain in my tub also became clogged while I was using this - not necessarily due to the conditioner (my daughter and I both have long hair and it happens occasionally) but when I went to clean out the drain, there was a lot of white-gooey shortening-like gunk that I've never seen before. It was also very hard to fix - took several attempts with drain cleaner before it cleared.
So if you are prone to breakouts or have sensitive drains, I do NOT recommend this product!
