Not only do I love the cucumber scent (that's in this product with Green Tea) but my skin feels amazing! Most lotions felt good to put on, but left my skin feeling suffocated or oily like I need to let them dry. This is my favorite thing to do after a shower because it feels so refreshing, dries very quickly, lets my skin breathe, and really brings out visible improvements in moisture! I wish it wasn't sold in a 3-pack but I am happy to buy three to keep & share!

(More customer reviews)I had been using Pantene Pro-V for color-treated hair and was fairly pleased with it, but I decided to try Dove's shampoo for my lightened/highlighted hair one day. I have been using it ever since! My hair not only is clean and shiny, but it has actually gotten thicker! The results hae been amazing, and I get compliments on my hair all the time -- even from hair stylists! My hair tends to tangle, and I get static electricity even in the summer, so I also use Dove's advance color conditioner on a daily basis, and it is also fantastic! I love my hair now (at age 56) more than I ever did when I was younger. It's so inexpensive, too! Maybe my diet and vitamins also help, but I really have healthy hair, and I credit this shampoo for a large part of it!

(More customer reviews)This doesn't smell like lemongrass or grapefruit. It's got a strange scent. Not strange in a bad way, it's an okay fragrance, just nothing in between lemongrass or grapefruit. I was hoping for a lemongrass scent, or at least a trace of it, but nope.
Will not repurchase.
UPDATE: I've changed my mind. I actually like this... A Lot! While it doesn't smell like lemongrass, it's not an overpowering fragrance and it lasts. I always buy this now when I'm in the store.

I recently got a short cut, and using my regular drug store shampoo had to spend hours (literally) trying to achieve a smoothish, straightish look. I got this Dove shampoo when mine ran out, and it is now so easy to get my hair nice and smooth like it looked when I first came from the salon. It's kind of amazing how well it worked. My friend says because it contains sulphates in the ingredients, that it could be a bad thing, but heck, my hair is looking good at the moment! I recommend for anyone out there who has frizzy hair with a mind of its own.

(More customer reviews)After a torturous morning of mowing my gigantic yard, I decided to try my sample of Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner. My long hair was full of grass, bugs, sunscreen and sweat. A great combination of destroying elements to test the conditioner.
Usually, I use shampoo and conditioners for color-treated hair. But with all the fun of summer, comes the dryness of the sun, pool and beach. My ends tend to get a little dry, but luckily I do not suffer from too much frizz.
After scrubbing my hair clean from the yard debris, I opened my little sample with my teeth. I don't suggest you do that, it tastes awful.
The conditioner smells wonderful from the moment you open it. It is a pleasant scent, not overly sweet.
My hair was easy to comb out after my shower. After letting it air dry, my hair is soft and the ends appear to be smooth. And it still smells great!
I would use Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner once or twice-a-week. I will continue to use shampoo for color-treated hair, because my red hair tends to fade fast.
If you want a conditioner that smells great, eliminates frizzy ends and leaves your hair touchable, I would recommend Dove Intense Damage Therapy Conditioner.

After my pregnancy my hair got very dry -- so much so that I was very worried I'd have to cut it. My salon owners suggested I use some Lanza products that are treatment conditioners which I mix with this Dove conditioner treatment as a sort of conditioner cocktail each time I wash my hair. In a very short amount of time my hair has improved a great deal. It's much softer and has regained its shine. My salon owners are impressed with the results. The Lanza products alone don't do it -- I have to mix those with this Dove to get the best results. I think this would be a fantastic product for anyone -- but especially if you need some rescuing from dry and damaged hair.

(More customer reviews)I needed more body wash like I needed a ... well, since I'm in an early-morning non-creative funk, I'll use a worn-out cliche: like I needed a "hole in the head." Bear with me, I get better when the cob-webs are cleared from my fuzzy brain.
But when Amazon sent me a promotional, bearing the time-honored name of Dove, saying it "deeply moisturizes," I couldn't resist. Truthfully, what really sold me was the "pouf." I don't know what to do with that, but I thought I'd have fun experimenting. ... lol
My dove and pouf arrived and after a few showers, I must admit it does have zip; my body now feels like a velvet glove ... or a satin sheet? So all is happy in Sunny Cali. (I don't exactly feel "beautiful," but I got a big "lol" from this dramatic line in their product description: "Dove's mission is to widen today's stereotypical view of beauty and inspire all women to feel beautiful and take great care of themselves.")
... Mission? Yeah ... right!
I deleted one star because I think the price is too high; I could have purchased it at Target for much less. Sorry, Amazon.
P.S. To respond to one of the reviewers who wasn't pleased with the new bottle design because s/he couldn't place the bottle upside down to get the last "dregs" of moisturizing soap, here's a tip that I taught my kids years ago: Just add some water to the mix and VOILA: good to the last dribble.

(More customer reviews)I was quite happy with how this product worked as a body wash, but I won't be buying it until the price comes down. Given that every body wash that I've used has gotten me clean, my criteria for choosing one over another are pretty simple: I want something with a pleasant scent, I want a product that isn't overly thin and watery, and I want to feel like I'm getting a good value. This Dove body wash met the first two of those, so I give it a thumbs up in regards to performance. The one balking point for me is that it costs about three times as much as the Suave men's body wash that I typically use, and I don't like it all that much more than the Suave.
Overall, I gave it four stars. Performance is a solid five stars, but value is closer to three stars, IMO.

I am using the Dove Advanced Care Pro-Age Shampoo together with theDove Pro-Age Advanced Care Conditioner, for Extra Fullness and Thickness, 12 fl oz Bottles (Pack of 4)for my aging and somewhat thinner(okay, okay, much thinner) then 10 years ago hair. Each on their own work very good, but together they are excellent. I saw a difference after the very first use. Okay so you are not going to grow more hair, but they certainly leave my hair with a noticablly fuller,thicker, softer and even shinier look and feel. I also love the fresh clean smell of my hair too. And by the way, I really get my money's worth as a little really goes a long way.
But DOVE!...we aging boomers have aging eyes as well. Shouldn't a "Pro Age" formula, made specifically for us oldsters be able to see what we are using? The packaging is not well thought out for that. The bottles look the same in shape and color. The only difference is that one opens at the top and one at the bottom. I try to keep them separated in the tub and try to remember which is the shampoo and which is the conditioner, but alas, my memory is going too.
Help Dove...Please improve the packaging or make the words bigger!
I love these products, I just wish I knew which one I was using. Oh if only I could wear my glasses in the shower.

(More customer reviews)This shampoo (and the accompanying conditioner) has made a huge difference in my hair. I have long hair, and have never been able to grow my hair past the middle of my back. The breakage and split ends made it look scraggly and it just wouldn't grow past a certain point. But after a couple of years of using this product, my hair now makes it down past my behind. It's the longest by about 14 inches that I've ever been able to grow it, and the only thing I changed was using this shampoo and conditioner. I highly recommend it! Even if you don't want longer hair, your hair will be healthier and you'll see and feel the results quickly.

I only use a small amount of shampoo because it lathers up very well, but if you have hair similar to mine, I suggest massaging your hair as gently as possible... Now the conditioner made detangling a breeze. At the end the results left my hair feeling smooth, soft, and bouncy with no frizz. I would recommend this product to others, but what works for me may not work for them. In my honest opinion it is something definitely worth trying!
