Phyto Phytovolume Maximizing Volume Shampoo - Fine Limp Hair Review

Phyto Phytovolume Maximizing Volume Shampoo - Fine Limp Hair

I love using this shampoo. I have really fine hair, and most shampoos just weigh it down even more. Phytovolume rinses out completely, and my hair is so incredibly soft after using it - I literally can't stop running my hands through it. I would suggest this product to anyone with fine or limp hair - it really does make a difference

When I first bought the Kronos volumizing products, I used only the shampoo without the night volumizer treatment. Didn't work. Started using the full line and could see the difference the very next day. I love this stuff!

I've been using Aveda's Pure Abundance Volumizing Clay Conditioner and it really works. It's a very thick conditioner which will leave hair healthy as well as looking and feeling thicker with every use. My natural hair has gotten thicker over the past few months because of it.

Kronos Phyx Overnight Repair Masque 4 fl oz. Review

Kronos Phyx Overnight Repair Masque 4 fl oz.
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
So, I fell for the free trail offer on [...] and paid $9.95 for shipping to receive full size bottles of the Kronos hair kit. When my shipment arrived, I learned that I was enrolled in [...] smart ship program. Now, if I don't follow the very misleading and complicated steps to return my free trial and cancel my subscription, my credit card will be charged $98.50 every 60 days. That is a very rotten way to run a business.
Now about the product itself. After using the 4 step system (shampoo, conditioner, detangler, and repair masque) for 4 weeks as the instructions said, I did NOT "experience a total hair revolution" as their advertising claims. In fact, I didn't not see any major changes in my hair or in the amount of hair lost daily (which is why I ordered it in the first place). I would not expect to pay more than $4 a bottle for these products. They claim that the retail value of their kit is $215...outrageous!!
My suggestion is that you don't waste your time and money on this. It's a hyped up product that doesn't deliver the results it claims.

Phyto Phytovolume Volumizing Shampoo Hair Shampoos Review

Phyto Phytovolume Volumizing Shampoo Hair Shampoos
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was disappointed to see that this highly-recommended product for fine hair like mine contains paraben preservatives to which some 10-15% of the population is allergic to some degree. I have a known allergy to them, so can't even try this shampoo. For this reason, I would have given the product *no stars,* but Amazon's lowest rating is 1 star, so I had to settle for that.
If you have ever reacted with itching, rash, or hives to old (or cheap, store-brand) sunscreens--most of which have parabens--you will probably have similar problems with this product. Likewise, if you've ever reacted to a product preserved with the chemically-related sulfites that are used to maintain color of dried apricots and other foods, you will probably have trouble, too. That's because those allergic to sulfites usually also have sensitivities to parabens. These people could easily get an itchy rash or break out in hives after use. Beware that children are sensitive to paraben preservatives in even higher numbers than adults.
Parabens have caused so many problems in sunscreens over the years that most major brands have reformulated their products without them. (Likewise, sulfites provoke so many reactions--some even fatal--that the US government banned them from being sprayed on restaurant salad bars some 10-15 years ago.) So why does a high-end company like Phyto that charges such a pretty penny for its products have to use cheap parabens instead of a healthier alternative to preserve its otherwise wonderful shampoo?

OOKISA FORTIFYING SHAMPOO & REPLENISHING CONDITIONER Review

OOKISA FORTIFYING SHAMPOO and REPLENISHING CONDITIONER
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I feel bad about my "meh" comment in this review's subject heading, but after using Ookisa products for about a year, I've weighed the pros and cons and, well...
Like with any new product, at first there were noticeable results. Nothing dramatic, but *I* could tell that my normally fine, limp hair felt fuller, bouncier, with nice movement. As someone who was used to at least one bad hair day a week, it was nice to have a reliable hair product that seemed to give me more to work with, less to have to work *around* if that makes sense. I won't say no more bad hair days, but for awhile there it was pretty close.
Then, of course, my hair adjusted. Took awhile, but I'd say on my second Ookisa shipment, I could tell the improvements weren't lasting. I'd been hoping that all the talk about "building your hair from the inside" was true, and that my hair would... I dunno... change somehow. I know that's stupid, being's as this is a "cosmetic" product and nothing can actually change the physical chemistry of your hair. But hope springs eternal, I guess. And there was a SERUM, dag nab it!! How could something that sounds so scientific turn out to be a load of bunk?!
Granted, "bunk" is a strong word and I don't mean to say that Ookisa products are worthless. The ingredients are clearly high-quality, and I really do appreciate how clean & soft & shiny they make my hair. However: if only they actually performed the miracle(s) they suggest they do! Then, they'd be worth the expense. As a woman who's known to spare no expense when it comes to beauty products, I have to admit that this "hair care system" is not worth the money.
And speaking of money -- I'm glad Amazon's in on this action, cause when I purchased, the only way to obtain Ookisa was thru the company's website. I had to sign up for a "plan" that automatically sent me shampoo, conditioner & nighttime serum for a whopping $70 plus $5.99 shipping (which was originally free, but then they started adding it on this year, with no notice).
The first time I tried to cancel, they took my info & then failed to follow thru so I wound up with another shipment. I called back -- told them I'd keep the shipment but please please please cancel me for real this time. They countered by saying I "qualified" for a "special members discount" that would get me the same products for $39.99, plus shipping. Ha! So I've been paying almost twice as much for god only knows how long....??
I don't even wanna think about it.
Anyway, try the products for short-term benefits and maybe just maybe you'll hit the jackpot & have hair that actually can structurally change for the better. Or not -- and at least you can give 'em a whirl here for cheaper than their website, with no membership obligations. Good luck to you and your hair!

Ookisa Nighttime Follicle Renewing Serum Review

Ookisa Nighttime Follicle Renewing Serum

If you're thinking of buying any of this company's products please be aware that they are less than forthright about their offers. I have to believe that this also shows in their product. After trying the "free" product that cost me nearly $70 I have to say I was right. There is nothing special about the results. It did no better a job than the $15 bottles of product you can buy in any grocery store. Beware of company's who promise free products and hide expensive charges in the fine print.

PHYTO PhytoMousse Volume Foam Shampoo, Fine and Limp Hair 5.7 fl oz (150 ml) Review

PHYTO PhytoMousse Volume Foam Shampoo, Fine and Limp Hair 5.7 fl oz (150 ml)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My hair has always been thin and fine (i.e. stringy and flat). I started using this mousse shampoo in conjunction with the phyto volumizing spray, and I would actually consider my hair to be "fluffy." Others are even complimenting me on my hair, which is something I'm not used to. I've found it works best (I'm at my fluffiest) when I wash my hair with the mousse shampoo and use the volumizer spray at night. The next morning, I just dampen my hair with water and blow it dry. Instant fluff that lasts all day!

Kronos K-Charge Volumizing Cleansing Treatment 10 fl oz. Review

Kronos K-Charge Volumizing Cleansing Treatment 10 fl oz.
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I tried this product through one of those trial offers. (Note: Do not do this as they send you a kit of 4 products and bill you $98 if you don't return it within the month.)
So I was anxious to see if I could get it here on Amazon and I'm delighted I can.
I'm not sure if my hair has gotten thicker, but it shines like crazy! I haven't colored my hair in about 2 months and aside from the roots, my hair looks totally healthy and natural. And a great shine! Light and fluffy feel even if I don't wash my hair every day.
This is positively the best shampoo I've ever used. I don't even need the conditioner!
Yes, it is costly, but you can avoid waste by adding some water to the shampoo. You have to be careful not to dump it all in your hand, but you won't be using as much shampoo as if you used it without the water. In other words, less waste and lasts longer.
I highly recommend this shampoo!
Thank you!
MEF

J F Lazartigue Hair Volume Tonic (3.4 oz.) Review

J F Lazartigue Hair Volume Tonic (3.4 oz.)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this product based on a review for people looking for great products for limp, fine hair. Unfortunately, I'm afflicted with the fine hair. While secretly I'd hoped to have a head of hair resembling that of a lion's mane, it didn't happen. The cost of shipping $8 is outrageous, try a padded envelope and cutting your costs. The product is $34 and not worth the money. Your hair feels nice, the smell is nice, but no detectable increase in volume perception of hair. Your hair dresser can sell you something that would probably work as well and not cost as much. I won't be purchasing again. The Rusk products for fine hair work better and cost a lot less.

This is the gentle-est, most effectice hairspray I have EVER used! It gives your hair the managability thatit needs, but it is also very gentle, and not stiff! Though it is pricey, and you don't get a lot in it, it is so worth the expense. I have very thin hair, and this is the ONLY hairspray that has ever worked!

AVEDA by Aveda: PURE ABUNDANCE HAIR POTION .7 OZ Review

AVEDA by Aveda: PURE ABUNDANCE HAIR POTION .7 OZ
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
A very strange but cool product. When applied to your roots (they can be either damp or completely dry), it's supposed to add volume and texture to your hair.
The first few times I used it, I hated it. It's a powder in the bottle, but it liquefies on your hair and fingertips. It's sticky, and accidentally using too much leaves my fine hair clumped together and greasy-looking. The only solution I've found for that is to re-wash my hair and start over.
Used properly, it does add volume and gives my hair a "just been to the beach" appearance.
The bottle dispenses product through a single hole. I've found that trying to apply the powder directly to my roots often leads to the sticky, clumped up mess described above. Instead, I activate (i.e. liquefy) a tiny amount of powder between my thumb and one finger. I then pinch small sections of hair and smudge the product into my roots. The less on your fingers, the better. Like I said, it takes some practice to get it right.
I've read several reviews that cautioned against shaking the bottle. The product will liquefy in the bottle and then there's no going back. People seemed really worried about that, but the label states that liquefied product does not affect performance. Using my application method, it makes no difference whatsoever. I actually shook my bottle on purpose and now it's less prone to clogging than it was in powder form.
The bottle is tiny, only .7oz, but since you need so little it actually lasts a looooooong time. It's not inexpensive, but I think it's worth the price per use.
Overall, a great product if used correctly. My hair is very long and fine and this product gives me volume that I would not have otherwise.
I've heard it also doubles as a dry-shampoo, but I've had better luck in that area with baby powder.
Very much worth the trial and error required to master the tricky application.
